Seemingly daily car accidents pose danger for New York victims

Life in a large metropolitan area can provide endless opportunities for cultural enrichment and economic improvement. However, as in any major city, New York residents face the dangers that countless car accidents pose on an almost daily basis. One recent wreck has caused serious injuries for several victims.

Video surveillance cameras captured the image of a car proceeding erratically down a busy street at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then left the travel lanes and collided with a building that houses a children's business that holds events such as birthday parties. The sedan completely breached the structure's outer walls and came to rest inside of the building.

There was a birthday party at the time of the evening crash, but, fortunately, no children were injured. One employee, however, was trapped under the vehicle. Three people suffered serious injuries in this terrifying wreck, though none are considered to be life threatening. Approximately 50 people were in the venue at the time of the crash.

New York police did not arrest the 61-year-old driver at the scene, and it is unknown if he will face any criminal charges once the official investigation is completed. However, regardless if the driver will be formally charged, the victims may still choose to pursue civil litigation against the responsible parties in an effort to seek monetary compensation for the financial damages that they have likely incurred. Victims of these horrific car accidents often have serious physical injuries along with the mounting stress created by medical bills, lost wages and other monetary damages. A successful civil claim can alleviate the burdens posed by these losses while providing the peace of mind they need to focus on their physical recovery.
